Robert & Jenny Celebrate One Year

This shoot did not go as planned...and that was great. Originally when we were talking to our good friends Robert and Jenny about doing their one-year anniversary shoot (we did their wedding in June of '09) we discussed hitting up an area around Worth Ave. in Palm Beach. Great location, great everything, no problem. Well, on the way there Robert wanted to show us the little hotel he and Jenny had stayed at a couple of nights of their honeymoon. We thought we'd better humor him since he is always raving about this awesome place! ;-) Well, we turned off onto a side road in downtown West Palm Beach and suddenly we were in the coolest, quaintest, prettiest little area you could imagine. It was so peaceful you didn't even know you were in a city; it was great. The place is called Casa Grandview and if you're looking for a great little getaway you have to check it out. Well, we ended up just staying there for the shoot and it was great. Plus it was meaningful to Robert and Jenny and when you can incorporate that into a shoot it just makes it that much better.

Congrats Robert and Jenny on one year; may you have many, many happy more!

Kissing in the rain pics are great but have obvious negatives. We thought this was a good alternative. :-)

Remember when I said Robert was being goofy? Well, this shot took a while to get him calmed down so we could get something where he wasn't being a complete dork! :-) You can tell they're both trying to hold it in, though.

Ok, they always look this sharp together. They really do!

Towards the end Robert's goofiness was rubbing off on everyone.

Kinda hard to get pictures when Jolie is hanging out in them with the couple.

But I finally got Jolie to focus and we got some cool shots in front of this awesome wall.

Whew! Fun times. :-)

The Huff Family

We recently spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening with Robb, Robyn, Payton and Addy taking their family Christmas pictures down in Palm Beach. We've been doing Addy's baby pictures every few months and when it came around to do her pictures again we added the whole family in. It was such a fun time! Addy was just putting through her first tooth so she didn't feel too hot but she was still a trooper and just beamed for us, especially when daddy was near! Payton got to wear her "Princess" dress and she looked completely adorable! It was a great way to spend the evening. :-)

Payton let Addy have a sniff of the hibiscus. This was moments before she got a little too close and practically pollinated Addy's sinuses. :-)

Adoration, pure and simple.

We brought along an antique children's play stroller which Payton immediately loved!

Date Night

Anyone that lives in the South Florida area has probably heard of City Place, a really cool downtown area in West Palm Beach with lots of shops and restaurants, etc. It's one of our favorite places to go to and so it was no surprise to find us there a Saturday night ago. We decided to take our camera along and have a little fun with it while we were there. Now, taking pictures of yourself with a camera is a bit difficult. It involves setting it up on a tri-pod, having Jolie positioned so I can focus on her and then using the timer while I dash over to her and spring into position. This is a lengthy process so very easily we can spend at least half an hour and end up with about 10 shots. And this was all done in front of a City Place crowd. I'm sure we were very amusing to watch for some of the folks but, oh well, we enjoyed ourselves and got a couple of cute pictures of the two of us which rarely happens when you are the designated photographer for every family and social event you attend. :-)

Dave and Brittany's Engagement

This is a story of how Google brought people together. The people being us and Brittany and Dave. :-) Brittany found us using Google and decided we were the ones that were going to shoot her wedding! We obviously were very happy and honored and glady drove up to Fort Pierce to their home in the countryside to shoot their engagement pictures. It was so much fun for so many reasons that were out of the ordinary. First it was a shoot with lots of animals! Dogs were literally running everywhere, there were horses, cows, there was Dave making gutteral warning noises for the dogs to shut up...it was great! I have to say it's hard to look romantic when trying to yell under your breath for the dogs to shut up. We also did all the pictures right in their yard or right around it; it offered so many great spots including yard sculptures that nobody could figure out. :-) They were so cute together. They know how to make each other laugh and obviously love their life together. Can't wait to shoot your wedding, guys!

The Holden Family

Meet the Holden family! We've known the Holdens for years and years....and years so we were very happy that they invited us to take their family pictures when they were all together in September. I always like taking family reunion pictures because I know that they are going to be so special for the family because it's oftentimes rare when everyone can be together. It was especially cool because Trevor and Bethany (far left in the picture below) are rarely able to be together when it's just the two of them! Trevor is in the military and so for much of their married life he's been stationed overseas. We took some extra time during the shoot to get a bunch of photos of just them; there are a few at the end of this post. :-)

So, we did have a funny story come out of the shoot. At one point one of the little Holden girls turns to Jolie and says, "You'll find when you look at the pictures later that I'm the best smiler. That's what my mom says. " I still laugh when we talk about it! Charles, Kristen you have some great (and funny) kids!

Ok, corny moment. *ahem*

Jana - 2011 Senior

This was the last shoot of our weekend of shooting in Ohio and it was a great way to end it. At one point during the weekend we realized that we had done every type of photography during that trip; wedding, family, children, baby and senior!

Jana was our last shoot and it was her senior photo session. She had two stipulations for us; unique pictures and no railroad tracks. (Seems like railroad track shots are kind of popular in Ohio right now just like they are down here:-) So with those things in mind we checked tunnels, old warehouses, crumbling factories, abandoned hardware stores and even a cemetery; we finally settled on the hardware store and a pizza factory. The pizza factory was a last minute discovery and provided some truly awesome pictures. Thanks Jana for the cool time!

The steam is the exhaust vent from the pizza factory. Have to tell you, though, it's not fun being blasted by hot pizza steam at 9:30 in the morning.

Luke and Ally...married!

What can I say about this wedding; it was just perfect. Perfect couple, perfect weather, perfect locations...everything just perfect! Couple first, though. This is Luke and Ally. Why are they the perfect couple? Because they are so much in love and it showed! Not sappy love, but love where you know they're in love because they're so happy. They smile and cuddle and kiss and generally make you remember your wedding with fondness. Why was the weather perfect? Because we left Florida where it was in the 90's and astronomically muggy and went to Ohio where it was sunny yet cool. Need I say more? Why was the location perfect? Because all in one area were old barns, beautiful parks, and an old dilapidated factory...a photographer's dream come true. With all this perfection even Style Me Pretty would be envious!

Needless to say we loved this wedding and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thanks guys for letting us be there for all that perfection. ;-)

The Gallahers

Let me introduce you to the Gallahers, the family that drove two hours to meet us in the middle of nowhere Ohio (Circleville area for those of you who might know it =) for a shoot. We were so happy and honored that they made such a sacrifice to meet up. It was well worth it, though, because just outside of Circleville was this amazing abandoned house. We spied it on the way into town the day before and immediately thought that it would be perfect. Well, the Gallahers were more than willing and that's where we ended up for a lot of the shoot. It was such a great space. Room after room that looked like a set; fading and peeling wallpaper, stacks of picture frames, shutters strewn about, leaves on the floor, vine covered doors...awesome! As my father-in-law says it was an ugly place, therefore, perfect. haha. The neat part, though, was when we pulled up the father said, "This is great." I agreed wholeheartedly and he said, "No, you don't understand. 42 years ago I was driving through here with my son. He got sick so we pulled over at this very house to use the telephone but no one was there. It was abandoned even that long ago!" Great story for a great location for a great family!

Juliet is born!

Jolie and I recently had the chance to shoot a wedding in Ohio (which was awesome and a post will be coming up soon about that) and while we were up there we decided to make the most of our time. So the first thing we did after getting off the plane was to drive to CJ and April Miller's house and shoot some photos of their first baby, Juliet. She was such a little trooper and did a great job! We've both came to the conclusion that a photo shoot ranks about second in their short little lives of the most traumatic events to date! It was a lot of fun, though. Baby shoots involve a lot of laying around for me, actually. :-) While Jolie gets the baby settled or quiet I just lay on the floor waiting for my moment. The photo below provided a nice few moments of rest for me. :-) Enjoy the photos and give a great big welcome to little Juliet. (Love the name, by the way.)

There are so many great captions you could put with this photo. Priceless!

Dad is into motorcycles so a very patient Juliet was squeezed into his helmet. He was slightly cocnerned she'd take the opportunity of being diaper free and run with it. Fortunately that had happened earlier on our prop blanket so no problem!

Cale and Brittany

Family, that's what describes Cale and Brittany, strong family. When we first met them to discuss the possibility of us doing their wedding Brittany's entire family showed up for the meeting, brother included! (Might have had something to do with the fact we met at Starbucks =) But right away we know they were a special family...in a good way! That was proven on the wedding day where their entire family was so happy and supportive of them. It was neat to see. Cale and Brittany themselves were happines itself. Cale was so cool to watch when Brittany came down the aisle, he looked so happy and overcome with emotions! I love it when the groom gets that way. They were real troopers too cause it was a hot August wedding but they and the entire wedding party jumped and cavorted and posed like it was 70 degrees out! Congratulations you guys and thanks so much for letting us be there for your big day.

Jolie loved Brittany's wedding dress for obvious reasons. Brittany was 21 by the way.

Alyssa, a former bride of ours, was Brittany's maid of honor. It was neat seeing her again.

I think Bethany gets the prize for being one of the most excited brides yet! She was simply beaming the entire day, not just in spurts, but constant beaming. It was so sweet to watch. They both were very excited and they were so great to work with. The ceremony was inside but we, of course, wanted to do most of their pictures outside which worked great right up until just after the ceremony and we were about ready to go do their pictures together. It was then that it decided to pour! And not just a drizzle that we could work with using umbrellas but a typical Florida afternoon monsoon. We obviously couldn't do the pictures outside and we really didn't want to do them inside so a quick look at the weather on our phones told us we'd have a break soon. So we improvised with the very flexible Brian and Bethany and did the pictures after the reception. It worked out great. We went to a little park by the water that was just right down the road and got some great photos of the two of them together...Bethany still beaming. :-)

The i-phone is going to give us a serious run for our money. :-)

Emma is born!

As you can see from the title of this post little Emma was only two weeks in this shoot, well actually 2 1/2 weeks but who's counting? Well she was about the strongest and liveliest two-week old we've ever seen! She was holding her head up like nobody's business and was just moving around like she had places to go. And, of course, she was just as cute as they get! This girl is going to have a big personality when she gets bigger! Congratulations, mom and dad.

Pretty obvious that dad's a big Marlins fan. :-)

Brent and Holley - Wedding

Brent and Holley got married in a beautiful ceremony in Cincinnati on a perfect summer day, bright blue skies and lots of happy people! Holley made such a gorgeous bride and brought some of her Florida style to her Ohio wedding with lots of vibrant, tropical colors and a few sea shells scattered around to remind everyone she was really a Florida girl. :-) After the wedding we went with the bride and groom to nearby Eden Park where we got away from the hordes of other brides and grooms to a spot where no other photographers were (amazingly enough) and got a ton of beautiful shots of the couple. It was a perfect time for shooting because we had a brilliant, blue sky but with enough clouds passing through to help cut the glare. Plus the spot was really cool, nice fields of grass and flowers but with this huge old reservoir wall that made for some great, dramatic backdrops.

We had a great time in the Cincinnati area meeting up with old friends plus shooting a beautiful wedding!

Tim and Tina

This was such a fun wedding for us. We got to travel up to New York City, which was awesome, plus we got to be with a great couple and family for a few days! We've known Tim and Tina for a few months now and they are such a wonderful couple. We always enjoy being around them; you just never stop laughing. Probably the best part about the whole wedding was that we got to use an old castle as a location for some shots! It was such an awesome site and a great change from the usual Florida scenery, which although beautiful, is nice to get something different to aim your camera at! The castle itself wasn't very large but it was built entirely of stone and they had done a wonderful job of preserving and maintaining it and the surrounding grounds. Thanks Tim and Tina; we had a great time with you!

Josh and Carrie

Josh and Carrie came to us a few weeks after their wedding with a dilemma. Their wedding photographer didn't have time to take pictures of just the two of them on their wedding day. They were so disappointed by that they wanted to schedule a session with us to do pictures of just the two of them. It was kind of odd for all of us meeting on a recent afternoon, the two of them in their wedding best, but with no wedding to go to! We had a really fun shoot and were able to spend more time with different locations and ideas to come up with some really cool stuff. We particularly loved the beach pictures because we got to do our first Trash the Dress session! The dress wasn't actually "trashed" but it was awesome having Carrie so relaxed about the condition of the dress. We all just had a really good time. Thanks Josh and Carrie for thinking of us!

The Pardine Family

We made a recent trip to New York City for a wedding and while we were there we were able to fit in a shoot of the groom's family in New Jersey. We went to a pretty little park not far from their house and had the privilege of doing something that we rarely get to do...get to know the extended family before the wedding! They are a great bunch of people and the shoot went so well. We also got to take a few shots of the bride and groom before the wedding. We had such a great time with Tim and Tina and with the whole family. Thanks everyone!

We had the privilege of shooting another beautiful beach wedding, this time for Aaron and Alyssa. They were such a happy couple; we just love it when we're taking pictures of just the bride and groom and they are so happy and laughing all the time. Aaron and Alyssa definitely fell into that category. They had their reception at the beautiful Leach Mansion in Jensen Beach; this is a great spot for weddings or receptions! Congratulations you two!

Billie - Three Years Old!

For our cute little niece's third birthday she got her own photo session with her aunt and uncle...at least mostly just her, Lily joined her for a few shots. Billie has turned into quite the little model, did quite a good job and followed directions wonderfully. Couldn't have been happier with how she did and how the shoot turned out. Way to go Billie (and Lily!)

Addyson Grayce

Such a perfect little bundle of cuteness. That's all you really can say about little Addyson Grayce, or Addy as we like to call her. Jolie was cooing and oohing up a storm during Addy's 4 week-old shoot and for very good reason; that little baby is just too cute! This was our first shoot with her but we can't wait to come back in a couple of months and do another! Such a joy to be around. Welcome to the neighborhood, Addy!

Kevin and Danielle - Their Wedding

Well, this wedding was proof that the weatherman should never be trusted when planning your wedding! :-) He kept calling for sunny, sunny skies and I kept looking out the window and wondering where exactly he was looking. The drizzling lasted only as long as it took us to get the bride to the ceremony, though, and the weather, although overcast, was great. We were excited to be shooting the wedding at Tradition in Port St. Lucie which has a beautiful Town Hall fashioned after the old tall steepled, white churches you see in little towns everywhere north of the Suwaneee River but rarely in Florida. The ceremony was outside, which we always love, and the reception was inside the Town Hall. Ah, the reception, best wedding reception food yet! Authentic Jamaican and delicious! Couldn't get enough. :-) Congratulations Kevin and Danielle on a beautiful wedding. We wish you the best!

The Sexton Family

Jolie and I were so happy when we were able to photograph our good friends the Sextons. We've been trying for months to set up a session with them but life and its complexities and intricacies conspired to prevent it...but we finally did it! We had a really good time with them and as ever tackled the challenge of getting several small children to look at you and smile all at the same time. (It's harder than you think! :-) But a beautiful family, beautiful day, and lots of laughing made it easy and enjoyable!

Lil' Drake, he's such a poser. We've photographed him before and the instant he sees the camera he's getting his model on! So cute!

I can just imagine what they're thinking. Life for them has just about hit a high point. :-)

Kevin & Danielle -Engagement

We were pretty excited about this shoot when Kevin and Danielle told us they wanted to use an urban location. We don't often get a chance with a couple to shoot in a good urban setting but we did with them, and they did a great job! Danielle very willingly (and a bit gingerly) picked her way down trashy, wet alleyways in our quest for the perfect spots. Fortunately, for them and her spotless pink shoes and his very white tennis shoes we eventually left the alleyways and headed into cleaner parts of the town. Kevin and Danielle did a great job and the resulting photos were great. Thanks guys!

Danielle has the most beautiful, big black eyes you've ever seen. Immediately after we met them for the first time our first thoughts were, "I can't wait to photograph those eyes!"

Delbert and Joanna - Wedding

I think this gets my vote for the most relaxed wedding we have had to date. If there were any frayed nerves I didn't see it. The bride got ready right next to the church and so Jolie and I went there to take pictures of her dress, etc. and while we worked she just busied herself around the kitchen washing dishes, smiling and laughing the whole time. And we had so much time to work with the bride and groom after the ceremony taking pictures of them it was wonderful. They were so blissfully happy we finally suggested we might better leave to get to the reception. They didn't have a care in the world they were so happy! It was a lot of fun to be around them.

I thought this was so cute. That's the miniature groom's dad being helped by the groom's mom.

We were so impressed; the bride put together all the bouquets and she had never done anything like that before!

This is Jolie's favorite. They look so cute and sweet and happy. Plus they're going to live on a farm in Pennsylvania and this location came about as close to looking like their future home as we could get in Florida. :-)

Jolie and I recently realized that even though we have tons of great products that we offer to complement our sessions many people don't know about them! So we decided to showcase the great products occassionally here on our blog. Hope you enjoy the posts. :-)

Below is one of our press printed books. We're very proud of these books because they showcase your pictures in a very attractive and professional format. The pages in the book are printed directly onto 100#, semi-gloss paper and UV coated to prevent fading in order to create a sturdy, durable book.

Matt and Candace - Engagement Session

Man! This was a great shoot! Beautiful couple, so obviously in love and so very photogenic! And we really had a blast too. We spent a relaxing evening down in Palm Beach doing the typical shoot and then had supper at Rocco's Tacos on Clematis (awesome chips and salsa!) We then did some night pictures and did a little experimenting. It's always fun to try out new stuff and Matt and Candace were perfect! All we had to do was put them in a pose and they would hold it forever for us! Thanks guys for such a fun evening and for letting us monopolize your evening for our own ends. :-) See you in May!

It was such a pleasure to shoot this family's pictures! As you can see they're a beautiful family and the kids are so sweet and well-mannered. Zach (the youngest), Caleb and Courtney, you guys did an awesome job! This was not the family that you had to wait on to get a good shot when all the kids were being good...they were great the entire time! They were all such troopers, too, even with the cold weather. Thank you guys for letting us take your pictures.

This is my favorite picture! It captures the innocence of being a child so well. It was so cold that day but to a kid it doesn't matter; they see the world so differently!

David and Amanda - The Wedding

We were so happy to join up with David and Amanda again to photograph their wedding after doing their engagement session several weeks ago. Just like the engagement session they were simply beautiful together...and like their engagement session it was freezing! I think either they are jinxing us or we're jinxing them. :-) Either way it was a beautiful wedding in a pretty little white church surrounded by their friends and family. We then went to the reception which was in Amanda's grandparent's background..it was simply, well, beautiful! Everyone outdid themselves to create a beautiful setting for David and Amanda's wedding day. Thank you guys for letting us spend some time with you on your very special day. Congratulations!

Matt Marshall Family

Okay, this was one of the fastest/shortest shoots I think we have ever done! Our best friends Matt and Sara and their two children Kate (the youngest) and Chloe came for a short visit from Mississippi. (And yes, I did just do the little sing song rhyme to spell the state correctly.) :-) We were so happy that we even were able to get a shoot in since there was so much on the agenda and so little time. We had a blast as you can see, there was a lot of silliness and laughter. Chloe is not a big fan of getting her picture taken so I, of course, had to revert to singing an oldie but a goodie, Elmo’s song to keep her entertained (aka standing still) and smiling. Thank you guys for the great visit and the fun shoot! Come see us again soon!

Mark and Elisa's Wedding

Saturday morning, January 30, 2010 was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding...which is a good thing because there had been much debate between the bride and her family whether or not it was a good idea to have the wedding outside. Well, the bride won out and it turned out she was right! :-) It was a perfect Florida winter day, the kind that convinces snowbirds to move south in the winter, and the wedding responded by being perfect as well. It was held in front of Hobe Sound Bible Church on the front lawn where passing motorists got to catch a glimpse of the proceedings; some cyclistists even stopped to watch. It was such a happy ceremony too. You could tell the bride and groom were very in love. It was also a very relaxed day. I don't think we've had a more relaxed shooting time with the bridal party and the bride and groom. I could stand for every wedding to be that way! :-) Anyway, congratulations guys! You deserve each other.

David and Amanda - Engagement

Beautiful, beautiful and cold! Three words to describe this shoot. The couple was beautiful, the location was beautiful and the weather was cold. Unfortunately, for the couple the timing of this engagement shoot landed during our January cold snap a few weeks back. We quickly learned an uncomfortable aspect to cold, winter shoots in Florida. The models can’t wear anything warm because when you look at the picture later it doesn’t look cold because….it’s Florida, so why are they wearing coats?! So poor David and Amanda shivered through a beautiful and enjoyable (at least for us) shoot. Amanda brought this massive fur coat to wear in between shots and they both would warm themselves in the sun. It was very cute although I’m sure “cute” wasn’t what they were thinking. Anyway, thank you David and Amanda! And congratulations! We look forward to your wedding.

Hubert and Emma - The Wedding

Wow! This was such a fun wedding….and a big one too! We had about 20 people in the wedding party which you might think would pose a lot of difficulties but it ended up being so easy to work with them. I don’t think we’ve had a wedding yet that has had bigger personalities in the wedding party! The groomsmen always knew when the camera was around and it was all we could do to get some candid shots without them mugging (successfully) for the camera. The girls weren’t much better either. All we had to do was put them in place and then say go and start clicking and that’s all she wrote! So besides the crazy but photogenic wedding party we got treated to a wedding ceremony with some really neat Haitian influences. We were kept on our toes because everything was just a little bit different so we couldn’t anticipate what was coming next. And it was such a sweet wedding too. I caught Jolie sniffling back tears more than once. Hubert and Emma were so obviously in love and they made such a beautiful couple. We felt honored to be a part of their big day. Congratulations guys and may the Lord bless your lives together!

They had three dancers perform a beautiful dance at the front of the church before the ceremony. They came down the aisle afterwards and then the wedding party came in.

They were so sweet during their first dance. The picture doesn't give it justice!

Frank Baldwin Family

Jolie and I were so honored and blessed recently when we were asked to take some pictures of a family that was having a reunion. They gathered together on the first day of this new year to celebrate the life of their father/grandfather, Frank Baldwin. It was so neat seeing this family of 30+ people gather from all across the U.S. and surround Frank with love and affection. Well, we spent a few hours with them and had a wonderful time laughing right along with the family as they had so much fun together. Jordan and Elena - The Wedding

Wow! What a day. The groom was handsome, the bride was beautiful...the weather was not! We got up on the day of Jordan and Elena's wedding to drizzling rain. The rain lasted all day long! We felt confident, though, that if the bride and groom were game we'd still be able to get some great shots. After a little coaxing we got the bride and her beautiful dress outdoors and she quickly forgot the rain and puddles and had a fun time. The rain actually provided us an opportunity to get some really fun, cool shots of everyone. Fortunately, though, it stopped during the ceremony and we had dry weather afterwards. The rain aside it was a beautiful ceremony with two very loving people. We were so happy and blessed to be a part of Jordan and Elena's day. Congratulations guys!!

Brittany Senior Session

We did our first senior session this year with Brittany who proved to be a natural at posing for the camera. We had enough time to go to several locations which is always nice because it gives a great variety for us to work with. Brittany brought along her dog who was so cute and lovable it made the photo shoot that much more fun. She joined Brittany for a few shots and did a great job too! The Stoddard Family

We finally got to photograph twins! And some very cute twins at that! We spent a fun couple of hours with Josh and Daun and their twin four year-olds, Alyssa and Rebecca, at one of our favorite family portrait locations, a little garden island in the intracoastal. The girls were understandably a little shy at first but quickly warmed up and soon were running happily around, shouting at us excitedly to "c'mon!" as they explored the island. The girls are identical twins but thankfully mom wisely put them in different outfits at the beginning of the day which helped us tell them apart. They soon moved into matching outfits which caused us a little difficulty but with mom and dad's help were able to figure it out. :-) (*hint* their hair clips are different colors.) The entire family was so happy and fun it was easy to get some great shots. Enjoy!

Hubert & Emma - Engagement

Halloween, it turns out, is not only a great time to trick-or-treat but also a great way to spend some time with a great couple doing their engagement pictures! :-) Halloween morning found us in downtown West Palm Beach doing an engagement session with some long-time friends of ours. They were a perfect couple to take pictures of because they were up for anything, even getting a little wet. We had so much fun that we just spent the entire afternoon wandering around downtown and the beach taking pictures of them! Thanks Hubert & Emma for a great shoot and also...congratulations!!

Welcome to Churchill's Photography's first beach wedding!! We've been wanting to do one for awhile so when we were contacted concerning this one we were very excited. It went extremely well and we got so many great shots...we decided to do a larger than normal post. Enjoy!

Shea & Kristy - Wedding

The fireman and the accountant are now married! It was great to be able to get back together with Shea and Kristy for another special day after doing their engagement shoot several months ago. We showed up the wedding day morning at Kristy's house with donuts and lattes to find everyone happy, relaxed and a little sleepy. The rest of the day was just like that, except for the sleepy part. :-) It was so enjoyable to be at a relaxed wedding because they can often be a little stressful. The couple is obviously in love and surrounded by a loving family. Pictures were a breeze too; the locations we were able to use were perfect and Shea even planned a surprise for Kristy and arranged for us to be able to use the fire station again! It's always great when the couple gets involved in the photos and helps scout out locations. Thanks Shea and Kristy for allowing us to be a part of your very special day!!

The Craig Cantrell Family

Wow! What a fun family to take pictures of. After trying for about a year to schedule a photo shoot we were finally able to get together and have a fun, relaxing time taking a bunch of pictures. Little Drake was soooo cute and was just a cut up! Lauren, his mom, was beautiful and looked absolutely stunning in all of the pictures. Craig, the very proud father and husband, just couldn't hide his love for his little family. The time flew by and we soon realized it was time to quit (I think poor little Drake was especially ready:-) and were so pleased to look through the photos and see such great results. Father's Day 2009

Father's Day 2009 found the Churchill family at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground in Orlando for a fun weekend! Jolie and I wanted to take everyone out for a few pictures so we braved the hot weather and took a few minutes to grab some pictures of the family. I have to say I think my nieces are just about the cutest ever! They were so fun to take pictures of.

Robert and Jenny's Wedding

Jolie and I felt so honored to be able to do our good friends Robert and Jenny's wedding! The ceremony was held outdoors on a beautiful summer morning in the park where Robert had proposed to Jenny. The outdoor setting made for a perfect backdrop for Robert and Jenny to exchange their vows which they did under the same tree that Robert had asked Jenny to marry him. They made a beautiful couple and it was very easy to get good shots of them together. We also got to spend the morning with Jenny at her house as she got ready and got some wonderful, candid shots of she and her family as they prepared for the day's events. All said we had a great time spending the day with our friends and were so happy to see them become man and wife. Congratulations Robert and Jenny!

Ben & Noelle - Wedding

This was truly a great wedding to shoot! Our bride and groom were anxious to get as many shots as possible so we had quite a bit of time to take them to several spots around town and take pictures. Also they were getting married at a beautiful little white church which was just so easy to get good pictures at. Noelle was such a trooper bustling around in her hot, heavy dress in the summer heat but she gamely put up with the fishy smells by the water, the unrelenting heat and a few raindrops and provided us with some great material. The couple also had some really neat ideas for pictures and locations (as you can see in the photos). We always love it when the bride and groom get involved in the creative process. Their personalities shine through in the pictures so much more that way. Thank you Ben and Noelle for making us a part of your very special day! Congratulations!!

The Cantrell Family

Early on a Saturday morning Jolie and I took a trip to another part of Florida that most people don't know about, the place where ranches are as big as their Texan cousins, citrus factories dot the landscape and vegetables and fruit are growing in abundance....central Florida. We were headed to take pictures of the Cantrell family, Robert, Stephanie and little Haley and Robert's parents. They live in a cute little ranch house surrounded by pastures and big Florida oaks. We had a lot of fun taking pictures of the family and especially of little Haley who took to us right away. The Florida summer heat was in full blast that morning and even a Florida cracker like myself was feeling a little light-headed after running around taking pictures. We got some great ones, though, and had a great day. Thanks Cantrell family!

Brett & Jaia

Of all the couples we have shot these two were the most fun! This is no reflection on the other great couples we have worked with but it was Jolie's brother and his girlfriend so we had no qualms about "putting them through their paces" as our models. They are both fun loving and a little bit crazy which really helped. We were going for a 1940's/50's look and with Jolie acting as the wardrobe and hair consultant I think we pulled it off. Thanks Brett & Jaia for being such good sports and looking nice for us in our pictures!

Shea & Kristy - Engagement

This shoot was so great and fun for us because both Shea and Kristy provided us with awesome locations for the shoot. Our first location was the fire station where Shea works. It was really fun coming up with some new poses for them there. We then went to a piece of property where Kristy's dad does the landscaping...it was beautiful! We literally would walk a few feet, find another great spot and snap a few pics and then go a few more feet and do it all over again. Plus it was fun taking pictures of a couple that is so obviously in love. Thanks guys and congratulations! We look forward to the wedding in October!!

Shea brought along a firefighter helmet that his uncle had custom painted for him. It was so cool and made a great addition to the pictures.

Landon - Senior Photos

Our latest photo shoot took us to the recently frozen north where we took Landon's senior photos. (By the way, we are available for work in Ohio and the surrounding areas) We really enjoyed the opportunity to shoot in different surroundings other than here in South Florida. The north has so many more rustic buildings, old towns and industrial areas to use as locations which adds a lot of character to the shoot, and we took full advantage of it. Landon gamely put with old barns, cement factories, and decrepit buildings as we tried out the great spots around Northeastern Ohio. Thanks for the fun shoot, Landon, and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

Jenness - Publicity Shots

We were so excited when Jenness approached us to do her publicity shots for her book that is about to be published. The book is called Deja Vu and is her first published work; we felt honored to be asked to do the pictures for this very commendable achievement. When Jenness told us her genre is romantic suspense our minds immediately began buzzing with ideas for locations for the shoot. We finally settled on an abandoned shack overgrown with weeds and other vegetation and a nearby state park which had recently undergone controlled burning and still looked charred. The "genre" we were going for was a friendly sort of gothic. :-) We had fun doing some poses that were more unusual and trying some new things.

We had a chance to relive the giddy feeling you have when you are first engaged when we did Mark and Elisa's engagement session the other evening. They are such a cute couple and it was so fun to see them together while we took their pictures. They are obviously very in love and enjoying every minute of the experience. We took them all over historic downtown Stuart finding all the great little locations that are perfect for photographing couples in love. Congratulations guys!!
